Medical disclaimer

Effective October 22, 2026

Beepim estimates your pulse with your phone camera for general wellness. It is a wellness estimate, not a medical measurement. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. If you feel unwell or are worried about your heart, contact a doctor or emergency services.

What Beepim is

Beepim estimates your pulse in beats per minute from the colour change in your fingertip, using the rear camera and flashlight of your phone for about 20 seconds (30 at most). You can add context (for example resting, after coffee, after a workout), your energy and mood, and you can type in blood pressure or glucose values that you took with your own devices. The app stores these on your device and shows them as a history and as trends over time.

What Beepim is not

Quality of the estimate

A camera pulse estimate can differ from the true value. Finger pressure, movement, cold hands, strong ambient light, the phone model and its camera all matter. When the signal is weak, the app asks you to try again and shows no number. Do not use the estimate to make decisions about medicines, exercise safety or treatment.

Averages, ranges and trends are simple summaries of the entries you recorded in the chosen period. They are not an assessment of your health.

Camera

The camera and flashlight are used only while you measure, and the app shows when they are on. Camera images are analysed on your phone and are never saved or sent.
